Bletchley Park, a codebreaking centre and home to the first computer, is one of the three causes Good for Nothing supported at our most recent event in May. A team of about 20 strategists, web developers, designers and photographers worked hard over the weekend to help raise awareness of this historic park.
What they wanted:
- Find innovative ways to celebrated Bletchley Park’s past digitally
- Build a vision of a positive future to attract corporate investment
Here’s a remarkable illustration by Chris from Scriberia of all of the thinking and work that was done by the Bletchley Park team:
What they got after 48 hours:
Web platform to collect stories
The team created a web platform to encourage anyone who was involved in Bletchley Park during the war to upload their stories in a simple way on the website.
Interactive map of Bletchley Park for the website
Guided walks
The team created a guided walks/tours feature for the website, visualising the various areas of interest within the park.
Facebook Enigma app
A Facebook app (already live) that turns messages into secret codes….
And there’s more to come

[...] Collaboration meets Rave’ which we quite liked. Some great stuff got done for Bletchley Park, Gnewt Cargo [...]
